We announced earlier this year that we would breed a young female, Sugar Creek Roxanne, to Fiona's Classic October Beau, an excellent sire well known to us after three years in the field with him each fall. The resulting litter was whelped July 3rd, giving us 5 healthy females and 3 healthy males. Everyone has settled in on the tasks at hand; keeping the pups vigorous and safe, vaccinations, BAER testing, and vet checks, plus lots of attention and socialization, before going to new homes at 9 weeks of age. Shortly we will post an update here on our blog with information for those new and other future owners on what to expect on "puppy day" along with care tips for those critical first weeks in the new home.
In a few weeks we will evaluate options for breeding in 2025. In the meantime, if you are interested in a nicely bred English Setter as your field and home companion, please reach out to us. We are making select referrals to another breeder based on the same criteria we would use in placing one of our own pups.
